Free Will

At any particular instant our mind exists in a unique electrochemical state reflecting what we are thinking about, how we are feeling, and the external stimuli that we are currently experiencing.

Whether or not the state of our mind in the next instant is solely the result of its state in the current instant plus external stimuli is the question of whether or not we have Free Will.

It may be that this question in scientifically unanswerable and can only be addressed by making a personal choice whether or not to believe in Free Will.

I believe that in order for Life to have meaning a belief in Free Will is necessary.
