The Source of All Things

We are on a tiny world

circling a tiny sun

one of countless stars

in one of countless galaxies

in what might be an infinite universe among an infinite number of universes

within a reality that might be one of an infinite number of realities.

One can imagine the meta-reality, the collection of all realities, at a time when it consisted of a void, empty of energy or matter, changeless, without even the possibility of change, without even the possibility of the possibility ad infinitum, where time itself was meaningless because nothing existed to distinguish any change. Then at a point in this meaningless stream of time, the possibility of the possibility of change emerged. Everything that exists flowed from that event. The source of that possibility, and the source of that source, again ad infinitum, ultimately leads back to the Source of All Things, whatever it may be or may have been.

When the possibility of change was introduced by the Source into our particular Reality, the most fundamental change inevitably eventually occurred: the transmutation of a portion of Nothing into a Something and an anti-Something which together cancel out back to Nothing. Oscillations between Nothing and Something+anti-Something vary in size and duration, and eventually produced one or more Universes, of which ours is one.
